Day 1 Marrakech

Once you arrive in Marrakech, you'll be greeted and escorted to your hotel via a comfortable transfer. You'll spend the night in your hotel, enjoying a comfortable and restful stay with breakfast included.

Day 2 MARRAKECH-IMLIL

After having breakfast today, we will board a minibus and make our way to Imlil. Once there, we will meet the mule drivers who will accompany us on our journey. We will then embark on a scenic walk through the stunning Atlas Mountains, which will take us approximately 3 to 4 hours. As we traverse the beautiful landscape, we will have the opportunity to admire the breathtaking views around us. Our lunch will be a delightful picnic in the midst of nature, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the surroundings. As the day comes to a close, we will reach the Neltner Refuge, where we will spend the night. Here, a delicious dinner awaits us, and we can retire to our beds, ensuring we are well-rested and prepared for the adventures that await us tomorrow.

Day 3 TOUBKAL SUMMIT 4 167 m

Today, we face an exhilarating challenge as we ascend to the summit of Mount Toubkal. To conserve our energy, we'll begin with a hearty breakfast before embarking on a 2 to 3-hour hike to reach the peak. Once there, we'll savor a humble yet satisfying picnic lunch surrounded by the majestic mountains. Afterward, we'll descend back to the refuge where we'll spend the night, immersing ourselves in the local culture and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere before preparing for the next part of our journey.

Day 4 TOUBKAL-IMLIL-MARRAKECH

As a new day dawns, we embark on another exciting adventure, exploring new destinations. After enjoying a satisfying breakfast, we will reunite with the mules and make our way back to Imlil. Once there, we'll take some time to immerse ourselves in the local culture, engaging with the friendly locals and experiencing their way of life. We'll indulge in our final picnic lunch, cherishing the flavors and savoring the moment. Afterward, we'll take a leisurely stroll through the charming village, absorbing its unique atmosphere and admiring the traditional architecture. As our time in Imlil comes to an end, we'll meet our main driver who will transport us to the vibrant city of Marrakech. There, we'll be welcomed into one of the comfortable hotels, where we can unwind and relax after our adventurous journey.

Day 5 MARRAKECH

In the morning, we'll enjoy a delightful breakfast at our hotel in Marrakech. We'll then embark on a half-guided city tour, led by a knowledgeable guide, to explore the iconic landmarks of Marrakech. This tour will last around 3-4 hours, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the city's history and culture. For lunch, we can seek recommendations from our tour leader to experience the local cuisine. In the afternoon, you'll have free time to further explore the city at your own pace. You can wander through bustling markets, visit historical sites, or simply relax in one of Marrakech's serene gardens. As the evening approaches, you have the option to engage in additional activities or enjoy the vibrant nightlife of Marrakech. Ultimately, the day offers a perfect blend of guided exploration and independent discovery, allowing you to make the most of your time in this captivating city.

Essential Infos
  • (on average) walking 5 hours per day on trail and/or 600 to 800 meters of elevation gain approximately and/or 15 kilometers.
  • You will be supervised by a qualified French-speaking Moroccan (Berber) Allibert guide, speaking English, French, Arabic, and Berber. The local team: A driver to drive the vehicle, A cook, who will introduce you to Moroccan specialties and Muleteers.
  • You only bring back your essentials for the day. Your individual and collective luggage is transported by mules.
  • To take full advantage of your trip, don't forget to keep in shape once a week by walking (approximately 15 km) if possible on a course with a drop (250 m/h) or by practicing a sporting activity (1 hour to 1.5 hours).
Basic Equipment
  • Breathable underwear (quick-drying).
  • A Polartec fleece jacket (windproof if possible) or Wind Pro (excellent weight/insulation ratio).
  • A waterproof and breathable jacket (in Goretex).
  • Trekking pants.
  • Socks suitable for walking.
  • A cap or a hat.
  • Sunglasses (index 3 minimum).
  • A rain cape.
  • A water bottle of at least 2 litres (or water bladder, pipette).
  • Shorts, t-shirts.
  • Swimsuit and bath towel.
  • Sunscreen.
  • Toilet paper and a lighter to burn it.
  • A pocket knife.
  • An individual pharmacy is reduced to a minimum.
  • A sleeping bag - A bag sheet.
  • A backpack equipped with wide straps and an adjustable anatomical frame, with a capacity of 30 to 35 litres, for your daily business.
  • A flexible travel bag of 80 to 100 litres, carried during the day by the porterage team or by vehicle.
